A Decade of Data-Driven Progress in Brazil

In 2015, TecAlliance do Brasil began its journey with just three dedicated team members and a bold vision: to transform the automotive aftermarket in Brazil with technology, data, and collaboration. What started as a small local operation soon evolved into a regional driver of digital transformation.

“Our mission was clear from the beginning: Establish the TecDoc Standard, the world’s leading standard for vehicle and spare parts data in the IAM, in South America to drive digitalization and provide the market players with an easy and convenient way to identify vehicles and parts. Ten years later, that vision continues to guide us as we empower every link in the aftermarket value chain across South America", said Heloísa Monzani, Managing Director Brazil and Regional Sales Director South America at TecAlliance.

The journey started with the launch of TecDoc in Brazil, and the very first customer, Distribuidora Automotiva (GAU Brazil). That same year, TecAlliance do Brasil began collaborating with Sindirepa, garages association signaling the long-term commitment to all AM chain partnerships.

 Laying the Groundwork: 2016–2018

By 2016, the network expanded to include customers from the Nexus Group, and TecAlliance do Brasil strengthened its ties with Sindipeças. A year later, the local team took a significant step by participating in Automec São Paulo for the first time, while also reaching new territory—signing the first TecDoc customer in Colombia, Groupauto Colombia.

In 2018, the focus deepened with the formation of a local Information Management team, beginning research into OE data. That year also marked the launch of the Brazilian TecDoc Catalogue with number plate search, offering a tailored solution for local market needs.

 Expanding Access: 2019–2021

2019 marked a turning point in TecAlliance do Brasil's mission to make data more accessible and establish the TecDoc Standard in the region. They launched a dedicated Local Data Service team to help onboard and support data suppliers within TecDoc, while also initiating local vehicle data standardization in 2020 to improve consistency across the market. They opened free access to the TecDoc Catalogue Brazil for garages and retailers—putting powerful information directly into the hands of those who need it most.

In 2021, TecAlliance do Brasil launched the TecDoc White Label Solution and Mobile App for parts manufacturers, enhancing flexibility and enabling more customized digital experiences across the supply chain.

Expanding Across South America: 2022–2023

2022 was a year of regional strengthening. TecAlliance do Brasil welcomed the first TecCom Order customers and established a key partnership with Asopartes in Colombia. The Vehicle Data Standardization (VDS) team began mapping vehicle data not only for Brazil but also for Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and the heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) segment.

TecAlliance do Brasil also launched the Premium Catalogue in Brazil, now enhanced with VIN and number plate filtering—bringing even more precision to the aftermarket ecosystem.

In 2023, TecAlliance do Brasil introduced Brazilian Vehicles in Operation (VIO) data for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles and made a strategic leap with the development of the TecData Hub to better meet evolving market demands.

Scaling Solutions and Impact: 2024–2025

This year and last have seen major milestones. In 2024, TecAlliance do Brasil launched the TecData Hub for distributors—covering 859 brands and complementing TecDoc’s capabilities. The local team signed their first TecCom Returns customers and welcomed the first integrated customers using the full TecDoc and TecData Hub solution.

Now in 2025, TecDoc and TecData Hub together serve over 1,000 brands in Brazil, and the reach extends across all countries in South America. The customer base includes more than 1,000 stakeholders across the value chain—parts manufacturers, ITGs, distributors, retailers, marketplaces, garages, and e-commerce platforms.

 Highlights include:

  • Signing a major regional contract with Mercado Libre for Latin America
  • Mahle Brazil and Indisa achieving #2 and #3 in the global TecCom Returns usage ranking
  • Growing to a team of 27 skilled professionals including engineers and data scientists
  • Supporting over 10,000 users of our Brazilian and Global Catalogues
  • A new salesperson dedicated to the distribution channel in Brazil

And there’s more to come in 2025:

  • TecAlliance Partner Program (TAPP) launching in Colombia
  • A dedicated sales agent in Colombia
  • The launch of HCV VIO data in Brazil

Looking Ahead: Driving the Next Decade of Transformation

From the first customer in Brazil to partnerships across Latin America, the success of TecAlliance do Brasil has always been fueled by collaboration, innovation, and a deep understanding of local market needs.

“We’ve spent the last decade building trust and laying a strong foundation. Now, we’re focused on scaling that impact—connecting markets, accelerating digitalization, and helping our partners thrive across the entire region”, says Heloísa Monzani. "Thank you to all our customers, partners, and employees who have made this journey possible. The past ten years were just the beginning—and we can’t wait for what the next decade holds."
