TecDoc Product Day 2024: A Journey Through Europe’s Automotive Aftermarket
Over the past two months, TecAlliance hosted the TecDoc Product Days across seven major European cities: Paris, Copenhagen, Madrid, Milan, Cologne, Birmingham, and Warsaw.
These events brought together over 260 aftermarket professionals, providing a dynamic platform for collaboration and exchange. The series underscored the commitment to tackling the evolving opportunities and challenges within the automotive aftermarket.
Each event showcased TecDoc’s latest developments, including advancements in the TecDoc Standard/Reference Data, the Data Quality Management (DQM) Initiative, and TecDoc ONE, the PIM solution designed to simplify and streamline the complexities of product data management within the TecDoc ecosystem. TecAlliance also provided updates on other solutions, such as TecRMI for repair and maintenance tasks and the integrated VIN/VRM search services, which enable accurate and efficient part identification in the aftermarket.
Strengthening Industry Dialogue
The TecDoc Product Day series focused not only on presenting new developments but also on fostering meaningful conversations within the industry. The roundtable discussions highlighted some of the most critical topics, including the rise of electric vehicles (EVs) and their impact on the aftermarket, the expansion of product and vehicle categories within TecDoc, and the use of analytics to enhance decision-making.
“The direct interaction with our customers gave us valuable insights into their specific needs. The feedback and connections established during these events form the foundation of our work, inspiring us to refine our solutions to meet the needs of our customers”, said Pia Harbo, Commerical Director Europe North at TecAlliance.
Building Regional Connections
A cornerstone of the TecDoc Product Days was deepening TecAlliance’s regional engagement. The European automotive aftermarket is diverse, with each market presenting unique challenges and opportunities. Each event reflected a distinct regional character from France to the Nordics and Benelux, from Southern Europe to DACH and Central Eastern Europe.
Equally important, the events underscored the critical role of collaboration in propelling industry advancements. The TecDoc Product Days served as a reminder of the collective strength the industry can achieve when working together.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of these events. Your support, insights, and collaboration are central to everything we do. We look forward to future opportunities to connect, collaborate, and grow together as we navigate the ever-changing automotive aftermarket”, Harbo emphasised.
